Newbury Park CA sophomore Samantha McDonnell won the women's 3,000 meters, competing unattached in 9:53.89 at the 24th Rossi Relays at Fritz B. Burns Stadium at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. McDonnell's time converts to 10:37.66 in the 3,200 meters, a significant improvement from her personal-best 12:19.64 during her freshman year.
